It’s a tremendous thing. I have three grandsons, and they will be able to saddle up their horses in the morning and ride along the Front just like I do. Some of these areas have to be preserved for our grandchildren and their grandchildren. They have the right to see the way this was created, and this will ensure there will be a Rocky Mountain Front forever. - Karl Rappold, Dupuyer rancher, Helena Independent Record, June 28, 2006

After three years of hard work, countless kitchen table conversations, four widely attended public meetings, and serious revisions, The Rocky Mountain Front Heritage Act is a stronger proposal than ever.

But for all its grassroots origins and popular local support, this innovative proposal still needs the cooperation and commitment of Montana’s congressional delegation.

Please contact Montana’s representatives and let them know that this Montana-made vision deserves their bi-partisan cooperation and support.

Let them know the Rocky Mountain Front proposal has a good mix of tools that ensures continued access to renowned hunting and fishing, restores healthy functioning landscapes by controlling invasive weeds, and helps safeguard the Front's way of life.
